Audience Feedback Evaluation - Magazine Proposal

      Audience research task 

The feedback i received was they liked the fact that i included 2 free tickets and how that was very original because no magazine has ever done that before so that was good and also it will attract more people towards the magazine because it is a good opportunity. They also said that because i said my magazine was catered to male and females that i should incorporate more female qualities into it. Due to there being a newspaper called 'The Daily Express' i couldnt name my magazine 'Express Magazine' so i had to find a new name for it. They had also said that my magazine involved the audience quite well so they feel like they are part of the magazine. From the feedback i have added more female artists to my presentation and also added 2 female models to the photoshoot. I have changed the name of my magazine to 'outright' i chose this because its a synonym of 'express' however i'm still a bit unsure about if i like this name or if it would fit with my magazine genre

Finding my publisher (Add to My Presentation)

After doing a bit of research ive decided to use 'Dennis Publishing' this is because they don't specialise in music magazines meaning that my magazine will have a better chance of success as it stands out among the rest of their publications. Another reason why i chose this publisher was because they have been established for over 50 years so that means they have had a lot of experience and they are well known. Because they publish on social media network this will attract more people because my target audience use this very often which will give my magazine great publicity and reach more people.

This is just a brief tutorial of the Adobe Illustrator workshop.

These are notes on key points of using Adobe illustrator that will help me in creating my magazine.

This was just a brief screenshot of how  used different tools to create this. I created this by using the pencil tool, this allowed me to create the outline for this shape. I then could adjust the boldness and the opacity of the line so I made it thicker and also made the colour black. I then filled the shape, due to the shape not having any closings Adobe illustrator tried to close it to the best of its ability resulting into this. 

The boxes above were created using rectangles like you would find in photoshop and InDesign.

The fancy design at the bottom of the shape was achieved by clicking 'swatches' then 'brush' this shows you the different designs and patterns that you could do to the line to make it creative.

 

In this screenshot the title 'unknown' has been stretched at 'k' and 'w'. This was achieved by a special thing called 'anchor' this allowed the flexibility of the words to be changed according to what you direct it to be. 

The colour for the title was achieved by looking at default colour schemes on the right of Adobe illustrator by clicking the colour palette and then clicking on 'Swatch Libraries Menu' this then gives you a drop down menu of different styles you could choose from.

I chose 'Colour Properties' this then gave options of the different saturations of colours which resulted into me finding this red kind of colour.

Photography Studio

On monday Scott went through the basic rules when using the photography studio and how use the equipment.

During this week the white backdrop will be up meaning that if i wanted to use a black one i would have to wait the following week so it can be changed.
Eating food is not permitted in the studio.
Also as the cables are long you have to be careful you dont trip over it.

The backdrop can go higher and roll forwards which allows the model to have more space.
Don't stand too close to the back.
Round about 5/6ft from the backdrop.
When photographing turn house lights off.

Flash heads -
When adjusting it tighten it.
on and off button.
(test button) test all lights
(musical icon) recharged
 - lowest selling is 1.0 flash
 - 6.0 is the highest flash
